Hola Amigos,

I’m Kishalay Das (কিশলয় দাস). “Kishalay” in Bengali refers to the tender new leaves of spring, symbolizing growth and new beginnings. If pronunciation feels tricky, feel free to call me KD.

I am currently a Postdoctoral Associate at Yale University, where I work under the supervision of Smita Krishnaswamy.

Prior to this, I was a Prime Minister’s Research Fellow (PMRF) at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (2020–2026), as part of the Complex Networks Research Group (CNeRG). During this time, I had the privilege of being advised by Prof. Niloy Ganguly and Prof. Pawan Goyal.

I completed my M.Tech (2020) from the Department of Computer Science and Automation (CSA), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, where I worked with Prof. M. N. Murty on representation learning for graphs and hypergraphs. I obtained my B.Tech (2012) from Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology, Kolkata.

Before pursuing my M.Tech, I gained industry and research experience working with Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Tata Consultancy Services, and Accenture.

My research lies at the intersection of Graph Representation Learning, Geometric Deep Learning, and Generative Modeling, with a strong emphasis on AI for Science and AI for Medicine.

In my free time, I create educational content on YouTube: My Youtube Channel.

Feel free to connect me at kishalay[dot]msit[at]gmail[dot]com.
